2021 Christmas Appeal update

We're delighted to announce that today, we're launching our new Christmas film in support of our #GreatestGifts Christmas appeal.

It felt poignant completing this film, that focuses on the desperate need for hope in the face of often insurmountable suffering, as we reflected on the desperate tragedy that unfolded in Cap-Haïtien earlier this week . This latest tragedy in Haiti ends an incredibly challenging year for a nation that at times has been brought to its knees.

This film, with its focus on our need for hope, is a message perhaps even more significant now in light of what our team have been dealing with in the last 48 hours. Please watch and share this film with your networks to see how you can support our work this Christmas.

Our  'Gifts of Hope' catalogue offers a wide selection of items and services our beneficiaries are most in need of, including running the tuk-tuk for the Maison de Benediction (our respite care centre for children with disabilities) , sponsoring a member of our East Africa Community Rehabilitation team, providing meals for patients in our rehab unit in Haiti and even purchasing a new stove for the Maison! There are also some incredible opportunities for churches or community groups to join together to fund some larger items or longer term projects, such as providing emergency food aid to refugees in Uganda or upgrading the sensory room at the Maison.

Thankyou to those who’ve so generously supported our Greatest Gift appeal already. It’s thanks to your generosity that we’re able to respond to incidents like we’ve witnessed this week, and for that we are deeply grateful.
