Mission & Vision

We provide life-saving healthcare to the world’s most vulnerable

Hope Health Action is a Christian charity passionate about facilitating sustainable, life-saving health and disability care to the world’s most vulnerable, without any discrimination. We seek to put the call of Jesus into reality, loving others, as we would wish to be loved ourselves; bringing hope, health and action to the world’s poorest.

We equip local health systems in the most fragile states, empowering national staff and facilities to fulfill their vision, ensuring the world’s poorest receive accessible, dignified and compassionate healthcare.

History and Background

Hope Health Action was officially founded in 2007, and launched under the name ‘Haiti Hospital Appeal’, in line with it’s original call to help build a hospital in Northern Haiti.

As our work in Haiti has grown, we felt the new name Hope Health Action would more adequately describe our heart and mission for our work in Haiti and our desire to support other countries like South Sudan. Hope Health Action was subsequently adopted as the new name for ‘Haiti Hospital Appeal’ in 2016.
