We provide life-saving and life-transforming care for people with disabilities in Haiti and Uganda. We provide a holistic approach through a range of critical services.
In Haiti, this includes supporting one of the country’s leading Spinal Cord Injury and Stroke Rehabilitation Centres, a respite centre for children with disabilities, and a number of social inclusion projects such as an inclusive sports centre and Mon Bijou, a new bakery and cafe run by people with disabilities. In Uganda, we’re providing community based rehabilitation amongst South Sudanese refugees, supplying wheelchairs, training community rehab workers, running community events on disability inclusion and providing agriculture livelihoods for persons with disabilities displaced by the war.
We do this by equipping and empowering inspirational local partners with the training, materials, infrastructure and financial support, so that together, we can help transform the lives of the most vulnerable.
